Very user friendly and I particularly love the peer/self-assessment section for each field and track area. Officiating sheet is also helpful for the non-participators.

5 Stars – Excellent guide written by quality academics and practitioners.
As a trainee teacher my specialty is in Football and Outdoor Education. Athletics was an area of uncertainty for me going in to my PGCE year, however this book ‘Athletics Teaching Made Easy’ has provided vital information for me to up-skill my knowledge and understanding. The resources attached to this book are creative, realistic and engaging. The technique of vital skills are broken down simply (teaching points) and progression is provided fluently throughout. Each event has recommended differentiated and inclusive strategies whilst providing challenges for all pupils. Most importantly there is a visual safety and organisation section which is easily converted into lessons/coaching scenarios. The book is made easy and provides the most relevant information, its evident that the production team are quality academics with lots of experience in this field and provide a modern approach to teaching/coaching Athletics. I would recommend this book to all practitioners, the resources alone are fantastic, visual and engaging for all pupils!

This resources book is amazing and offers a wide range of ideas covering throws,jumps and running in athletics. It has made my job as an athletics coach and a PE teacher easier as I am able to take ideas from the book to use in my lessons and coaching sessions, saving me a lot of time. They have also been useful for using with non athletics specialists as they have been able to use this as a guide and create there own initiative methods of delivering sessions.
I would 100% recommend this for anyone who is just starting out in athletics coaching or doing their teacher training. As alongside my coaching qualifications I have found this useful to develop andprogress sessions for my athletes and the pupils who I teach.
